Refund Policy

Overview

Zaviye offers a generous free tier with full access to the news feed and social features. Paid plans (Pro, Analyst, Intel) provide additional intelligence tools and are billed monthly. We want you to be satisfied with your subscription — here is our refund policy.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. When you cancel:

  • You retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period.
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free Reader plan.
  • No further charges will be made.
  • Your reading history, media diet data, and social features are preserved.

Refunds

Because you can try all core features for free before upgrading, we generally do not offer refunds for subscription payments. However, we will consider refund requests in the following cases:

  • Billing errors — if you were charged incorrectly or charged after cancellation
  • Service outage — if the Service was unavailable for a significant portion of your billing period
  • First charge — if you request a refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment and have not extensively used paid features

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

Plan Changes

If you upgrade from one paid plan to another (e.g., Pro to Analyst), Paddle will prorate the difference for the remainder of your current billing period. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period — no partial refund is issued for the current period.

Team Plans (Intel)

Intel team plans are billed as a single subscription. Refunds for team plans follow the same policy as individual plans. Removing team members mid-cycle does not generate a partial refund; seat changes take effect at the next billing period.

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback instead of contacting us, your account may be suspended. We encourage you to reach out to [email protected] first so we can resolve the issue directly.
