Israeli minister calls for destroying hope of rebuilding Gaza

Israel's far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for the destruction of any hope for reconstruction in the Gaza Strip. His statement aims to pressure Palestinian residents into emigrating from the territory. The remarks were made in the context of ongoing conflict and humanitarian concerns.

Smotrich's comments reflect a hardline stance within the Israeli government regarding the future of Gaza and its Palestinian population. This position contrasts with international calls for humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts, potentially exacerbating regional tensions and complicating any future peace initiatives. The statement signals a deliberate policy to undermine long-term stability.
