Egypt backs South Sudan's Fula Dam, renews objections to Ethiopia's GERD

Egypt has declared its support for South Sudan's planned Grand Fula Dam project following a review of technical studies. Concurrently, Cairo has reiterated its objections to Ethiopia's Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation conveyed this decision after assessing the Fula Dam's plans.
