Passengers recounted a struggle for control of a flydubai flight after the co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain.
A flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv experienced a harrowing mid-air incident when the co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain and attempted to crash the plane. Passengers intervened, with some subduing the assailant while others roused off-duty pilots to regain control of the aircraft as it plunged. The flight was diverted to Saudi Arabia.
This event evoked memories of September 11th for some passengers. The intervention of fellow travelers and off-duty crew members averted a potential catastrophe. El Al, Israel's national airline, prepared to assist stranded Israelis, underscoring the broader implications for regional air travel and security.
