Saudi Arabia shells border areas in Yemen's Saada province

Saudi Arabian artillery struck multiple areas in the border district of Shada, located in Yemen's northern Saada province. The shelling targeted civilian areas, according to reports from Yemeni sources. This escalation follows recent drone attacks launched from Yemen towards Riyadh.

The strikes underscore the persistent conflict in Yemen, where the Saudi-led coalition has maintained a blockade and conducted military operations against Houthi forces. The ongoing hostilities continue to exact a heavy toll on the civilian population and complicate any prospects for a lasting peace settlement in the war-torn nation.
